Kids in Missions Happenings
Kids in Missions meet the 1st or 3rd Wednesday monthly. Kindergarten through 6th Graders are invited to participate in hands-on service projects that "Share Hope Over the World" by sharing God's love with others. Projects are designed to let children serve in a direct way impacting others in our church, community, city, country and world. Putting faith into action helps children open their eyes to those in need nd lean on their faith to provide for others.

Wed, January 25th at 4pm: Red Wagon Canned Food Drive - Flyer Distribution
Parents & children: Wear your walking shoes & meet at Granada Park at 4pm and pass out flyers in the neighborhood and in Point LaVista asking residents to leave canned goods on their porch for pick-up on Sunday 1/29th. Contact Tina Joel for more information.
Sun, January 29th at 2pm: Red Wagon Canned Food Drive PICK-UP
Bring your wagon and meet in Granada Park at 2pm to pick up canned food donations from residents of Granada Park and Point LaVista neighborhoods. All donations will go to support the "Souper Bowl Sunday" Ministry stocking local food pantries and helping feed the hungry in Jacksonville. Contact Tina Joel for more information.
Wednesday, March 28th at 2:30pm: Easter Party at the Sanctuary on 8th Street
SUMC Children, join us to share the Good News of Easter with boys and girls your own age at The Sanctuary. This after school program targets at risk kids in need striving to make a better future for themselves by being good citizens and dedicated students. Wednesday, April 11th:: Spring Surprise for Local Nursing Home
As Spring fills the air, join us to bring smiles and a sunny afternoon to residents of a nearby Assisted Living facility. We will bring small gifts and the gift of smiles, song, conversation and love to the elderly. Contact Tina Joel for more information.
