"Precept Upon Precept Topical Study . . . Don't Despair. There's Hope. You Have a Kinsman Redeemer! - If you were a slave, who would buy your freedom? If you had an enemy, who would come to your defense? In the Old Testament, this buyer-defender known as a "kinsman - redeemer" was usually a close relative. If you're a believer, you already have one -- Jesus Christ! This rich study shows how Jesus both bought us (redeemer) and advocates (defends) for us, offering us an opportunity to rebuild our broken lives."

This is a great short study to get a taste of Kay Arthur's Precept Upon Precept Series (inductive Bible study).  It will incorporate some of the same study methods taught in Southside's Spiritual Academy Class: How to Study Your Bible with Ray Martin this winter.  This includes careful observation, interpretation, and application. If you did not attend the class, don't worry!  We'll briefly review some of the study tips during the first class.

Study Leader: Sarah Troup.  Contact Sarah with questions at 396-2676 Ext 118 or s.troup@southsidemethodist.org.

Location: 2nd floor of the Children's Building, Room 204.   You can enter through the door adjacent to the Family Life Center (San Jose side).  We will lock the building promptly at 7 PM for safety.

The Schedule:
June 3 -   Introduction & Inductive Study Methods
June 10 - LESSON ONE: Ruth 1–4
June 17 - LESSON TWO: Kinsman Redeemer

June 24 - LESSON THREE: The Ultimate Redemption (If needed, we could move this class to Sunday 6/29 due to VBS)
