Men's Ministry

Baxter Boys

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Who are the Baxter Boys?

The Baxter Boys is presently comprised of seven men's small groups.  Men of all ages and church affiliations are welcome to participate. We meet together weekly for the purpose of studying the Bible together, enjoying Christian fellowship and seeking to hold one another accountable as Christian men.  Through prayer, study, discussion, and encouragement, we strive to become more like the men Christ has called us to be.  We are also involved in evangelism and service projects around our church family and community.

The Baxter Boys, named after Richard Baxter, a 17th Century pastor and writer, is one of the men's discipleship ministries at Southside United Methodist.  Click here to learn more about Richard Baxter. If you're feeling really holy, then you ought to check out the blog I have dedicated to the life, ministry, and writings of Baxter by clicking here.
