Creating HABITS

Welcome to 2010 and our idea of a New Year's resolution convention!  Our ministry here on the POINT is committed to help you grow spiritually so here is what we have in mind for a little added fun as we grow...

These are the HABITS that score points:

Hang time with God - quiet time journal (ask for one!)
Accountability with another believer - student  small group! (join one now)
Bible memorization - Check the POINT Voicemail for this week's verse!
Involvement with the church body - Going to "big" church & joining God's Girls & Guys
Tithing commitment - Fistful of offering envelopes & our sponsored child
Study the Bible  - Ask for a Bible study lesson & Sunday School Jam!

 NEW YEAR's RESOLUTION GAME:

  • Teams of 3 will compete for the prize of a free pass to camp Leesburg OR mission trip to Savannah! (minus the deposit to register) That is a total of $900 earned by each team!
  • Each team must have at-least 1 middle school student and 1 upper school student
  • Each team must come up with it's team name on January 3rd. Teams can be made in advance, Sunday night OR we can help pair you up if desired.
  • Teams earn up to 6 points each week at youth for 8 weeks with bonus points offered at IMPACT club each week.
  • Points are based on the 6 HABITS we are working on in 2010
  • Winners will be announced on March 7th!

    • Here is How to Earn Points

    Point - Each team member will journal a minimum of 3 days a week and have a small group leader initial a page for verification. (Hang time with God)
    Point - All 3 team members come to youth on Sunday nigt to earn the point! (Accountability)
    Point - One member from each team must tell the Bible Memory verse for the week (Bible Memorization)
    Point - one member from each team needs to bring the church bulletin from that morning to youth (Involved in the church Body)
    Point - Teams bring their tithe to youth & mark on their envelope team name (Tithing)
    Point - all 3 team members bring in the ticket given by their Sunday school teacher that week! (Study the Bible)
    Bonus POINTS - Oh yes, Check each week for Details to earn these babies!
