The Sock Hop is an opportunity for all you parents to have a night out for an early Valentine's Day dinner. On Friday, February 10th, you can drop off your kids at 5:30pm and return for them at 8:30pm. The elementary aged kids will have the Sock Hop. The preschoolers will have a PJ Party. The nursery for kids 2 and under. There will be food, games and prizes for the best 50's costume. Click here to sign up.
The cost of the event is $10/child max of $25/family - Bargain! If your child invites a guest, the guest is only $5. The proceeds from this evening will go to Adam Paulraj. Please make plans to attend and spread the word to your neighbors, friends and family!
I was privileged to hear the story of Adam Paulraj this past Friday night. His mom, Jessica Paulraj shared his remarkable story for the Youth Girl's Lock in. Jessica Paulraj is the former Jessica Cooksey who was raised here in Jacksonville. Jessica and her family are very good friends of the Tedder's and they attend Lakewood United Methodist Church. Adam's story begins in India, abandoned at birth by his biological parents because of his severe birth defects. Jessica and her husband, Dr. Raj Paulraj are medical missionaries in India. They decided against all medical advice given to them in India to let Adam live. The Paulraj's brought Adam into their home and decided to adopt Adam. They journeyed with him to the US to have multiple surgeries necessary for him to have a normal life. The family is currently in Chapel Hill waiting further surgeries. I really do not do their story justice. Please read for yourself at www.babyadamsjourney.com.
I do need some help. I am looking for folks to setup and decorate Friday afternoon of the event. Please let me know if you can help out with this.
Many thanks to you all!
