Wow!  God works in amazing ways! I just learned that next week during our Mission trip to Guaremala, the VBS Team will have the opportunity to host VBS for not just 300 children but also for 400 more children in another village - that's 700 children we will share the love of Christ with in a very real way! 

Thanks to your generosity, we have plenty of crafts, small toys and game supplies but there is a real need for personal hygiene items for the care packages.  We would like to give each child a bar of soap, washcloth, comb or brush, hair clips & ponytail holders for girls, nail clippers, small shampoo or lotions, toothrush and toothpaste. 

If you have any of these items on hand or would like to pick up one or two on your next dollar store, Wal Mart, Target or Grocery trip that would be great!  Better yet, would you search those drawers for travel size items brought back home from hotel stays or summer vacations?

Any donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at any team members home or the SUMC front office (open today-Thu; 9-3pm.)  If you are attending Summer Salads tomorrow night, you may drop your donations in the boxes located near the Welcome Tables in the FLC. We will be packing up all donations on Friday morning.
