What About My Children?

Southside United Methodist Church is bursting at the seems with children!

We Have Greeters each Sunday to Help Answer Questions and to Help You Locate Points of Interest, such as the Nursery, Sunday School Classes, Etc.

Nursery

Nursery is always available for children ages 0-36 months in the educational building.  On Sundays, there are three different nursery rooms to accommodate each age level, each lead by a loving staff person and volunteers.  You may bring children to the nursery prior to service and pick them up at the conclusion or after Sunday School.   Pagers are available for each parent so we can locate you if necessary.

Pre-K - 5th Grade

Bring your children, Pre-K 3 - 5th grade, to the service with you.  Near the beginning of the Contemporary Service, the pastor will dismiss them to attend a kids-focused praise time under the supervision of the Children's Ministry Director.  There are many adult and teenage volunteers to help children feel comfortable and keep them safe. 

During the traditional service, children are invited to the alter for a special lesson and then dismissed for hands-on learning with the Children's Ministries Director. 

Greeters can help you find your children's classrooms for pick-up after the service.   Your children may stay with you throughout the service if you wish.  Visit the Children's Ministry all the children's worship and Sunday School opportunities.

Youth, grades 6th - 12th 

Youth stay in the Sanctuary for the entire service, but have their own Sunday School class and special activities throughout the week.
